Week 10

Hi Everyone!

Weight 60kg/132lbs

MONDAY, WEDNESDAY running sprints/10 burpees, 30 jumping jacks, 10 squats, 10 lunges, 10 girl push-ups.
TUESDAY, SATURDAY 1hr walk
SUNDAY Hiking

I felt a bit under the weather this week, so I exercised less. I walked for couple of days without doing anything strenuous. Walking does help - even though you don''t sweat! I really enjoy walking - I usually walk/run with my dog everyday, as well as my daily exercises.I put my pedometer on to see how many steps I walk in a day. When  I lived in Korea, I walked about 12,000 steps a day. Now, I walk 6,230! That's about half!

Life in Canada is very different because I have to drive everywhere instead of taking transit. Also, I work in a sit down job, whereas before I was a very lively teacher and I didn't own a car. I read somewhere that you need to walk 10,000 steps to lose weight. I'm going to aim for that number everyday from now on. I'm going to park my car far away from my workplace & at the end of the supermarket car park and walk longer with my dog.

What do you do to sneak in some exercise? Are there any other ways I can walk more?

Please leave comments & thanks for reading!**

  1. i need to focus on incorporating more exercise into my day as well aside from the time i allot for it. I'll do my workout then go out of my way to avoid exercise the rest of the day. a mentality I need to change!

  2. I try to get some walking in, at least an hour. It helps me think, it helps me get some ideas about what to blog about, and it just helps me enjoy the day, soak in the air.

It's funny how other countries walk so much more than North Americans do. We drive EVERYWHERE. I think it's just how big our countries are. When I was in Asia, I walked LOADS every day.

Keep it up with your training!

  3. Twon ~ LOL! When I walk more I feel fitter & lose weight quicker -every little bit helps!

Jess ~ I miss Korea & England because they are much smaller, so there's a lot of things to do within walking distance! It's really hard to lose weight in North America!
